In terms of pricing, the company’s latest Latitude E5000 series options start at $859 in the US, while the OptiPlex 390 is to cost from $650. Details of availability and prices in Europe and the rest of the world are to be revealed in the next few weeks.

Figures compiled and released recently by the Gartner research firm rated Dell as the third largest supplier of PCs to the UK market, ahead of Toshiba and Apple, and with only HP and Acer out in front. Apple’s share of the British market was reportedly boosted in 2010 by the popularity and strong sales of its latest MacBook Airs.
