Disney Mobile backing Android tablets
Disney Mobile is developing three new apps to be launched on tablets running Google Android 3.0 – when it’s finally released.
Bart Decrem, executive in charge at Disney Mobile, announced that the company is developing two games and a music app for devices such as the Motorola Xoom.
Games Beat says the music app is Radio Disney and the games apps Jelly Car and Tap Tap Revenge 4.
The latter is part of a popular game series with the original Tap Tap Revenge game had more than 50 million downloads on the iPhone alone.
Decrem says Disney Mobile wanted to launch the games when Google had developed a new Android App Market supporting in-app purchases.
Tap Tap Revenge generates lots of revenue from in-game sales with more than 25 million songs being downloaded for people to use when playing the game.
It’s not known when the first tablets running Android 3.0 (aka Honeycomb) will be released.
