Playstation Phone: Plugged in China, Leaked in UK

You don’t have to put your ear to the ground to hear the murmurs of a new Playstation phone echoing across the Internet. In fact, there has been much speculation surrounding such a phone ever since pictures of the supposed Sony Playstation Phone Zeus Z1 were leaked.
But it would seem that the fans of the eagerly anticipated phone can be put out of their misery after Chinese website IT168.com dipped their toe into the technological pool.
Their video, which was taken as a testimonial and can be found at the bottom of this page, reveals the phone running the Playstation Phone games, but doesn’t offer much of an insight into the phones itself.
It features a 4.1 inch touchscreen display with a slide-out game pad that has button controls and a large touch-pad area. It has also been confirmed that the phone will be powered by the a 1GHz Snapdragon processor- as featured on the HTC Desire HD – paired with a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU for enhanced gaming graphics.
Other rumours suggest that there will be a generous battery life of 1,500mAh, which will be needed for those planning to use the 5 mega-pixel auto-focus camera (with LED flash sans 720p video recording). Other features, which are expected from most phones, include 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a microSD slot, SIM slot, micro-USB, and interestingly, a second mic on the back for active noise cancellation.
However, despite the many features this phone has been boasted with, it is unclear as to what games the app will run; PSOne, PSP, or an entire new line altogether.
I tend to stick with one particular make of phone, but having recently dropped my HTC Desire – thus cracking the screen – I could find myself on the market for a new hand held buddy. On the other hand, I am an avid Xbox 360 fan; so perhaps switching to the enemy isn’t an option.
Regardless, this phone is one that is set to revolutionise the phone industry, bringing a whole new dimension to the way phones are perceived - undoubtedly setting the bar for future hand held mobile devices.
