BlackBerry makers, Research in Motion have released a video showing how the Playbook tablet synchs with the BlackBerry smartphone.

RIM have previously let slip that the PlayBook would be able to synch with the smartphone to carry out basic tasks like viewing emails in a larger format.

In addition to this, the video showcases the business apps available to the PlayBook, including Flash-enabled presentation creators and the SAP Businessobjects Explorer.

A distinct advantage to synching the two devices is that it eliminates the need to keep the PlayBook on all day; emails received on the BlackBerry device can be pushed in real time to the tablet. Basically, the smartphone acts as the receiver, while the PlayBook acts as the viewer.

The video also serves to reassure consumers of the security of RIM’s encrypted Bluetooth connectivity. The friendly narrator – John from the product team – tells us that the connection is made instantly, with no new accounts or data plans required, and when the pairing is ceased no corporate data is retained by the PlayBook.

Features such as these are sure to have the mouths of executive business types watering all over the country; to check out these connectivity features, click on the link below.
